Commodity-specific products for Melons
Many cantaloupe varieties have a thick netting that presents a significant challenge in terms of washing and cleaning. To ensure an effective washing process that removes field dirt and debris, CS-7100 and Selectrocide™ biocide should be used in the brush washer. Selectrocide is also used commercially in the washing of watermelons. Melon packing equipment should be cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis to reduce potential cross contamination from microorganisms.
