Recommended Components for Jet-Oxide™ Application

Backflow Prevention
A backflow prevention device such as a reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow prevent unit should be properly installed and functioning before injection of any chemical concentrate into a common water line.

Injection Pump
Injection pump with degassing or “priming” feature; or a water driven pump
Pump head constructed of Kynar® (PVDF) or polypropylene
Pump flow rate of 0.3 to 0.5 gph of Jet-Oxide concentrate is adequate for most applications

Foot-valve for injection system
Should be made of Kynar® (PVDF) or polypropylene

Spray Manifold and Nozzles
PVC or stainless steel spray manifolds are ideal.
Stainless steel or ceramic nozzles are preferred.

Nozzles should be arranged to provide full coverage of the brush bed and maximize contact time.  Flow rate needs to be adequate to ensure good washing treatment.  Spray application rate of 3-5 gpm of diluted material is typical in many applications.  Fine mist nozzles are not recommended for washing as they increase vapors and are less effective than larger droplet full cone spray nozzles.
